ESP32-S3 Simulator — The Performance ESP32, in the Browser
The ESP32-S3 adds vector instructions, more RAM and native USB to the ESP32 formula — and it runs in the browser. The simulator's S3 examples cover blink, serial, OLED and potentiometer reads on the S3's pin layout, compiled with the real esp32:esp32 core against the S3 target.
What you get
- S3 target compilation — the esp32:esp32 core with the esp32s3 board profile
- More RAM than the classic ESP32 — 512 KB SRAM, 8 MB+ flash on typical devkits
- Native USB serial — the S3's USB peripheral replaces the UART bridge
- Same sensor ecosystem — OLED, potentiometer and display examples transfer from ESP32
- ILI9341 TFT example — the display that the S3 drives easily

FAQ
Is the S3 better than the classic ESP32?
For new projects, generally yes: more RAM, native USB, and vector instructions. The classic ESP32 remains the compatibility king. The simulator lets you compare — most ESP32 example patterns apply to the S3 with only pin changes.
Which S3 examples are available?
The S3 runs blink, serial echo, OLED, potentiometer and ILI9341 examples on the simulator canvas — the four in-simulator links above open them directly, plus the write-ups for the shared ESP32 patterns.
