Free ESP32 Simulator Online — Real Firmware, Real Compilation

The ESP32 simulator that actually compiles: your sketch goes through the real esp32:esp32 Arduino core with a real arduino-cli backend, then runs against a simulated Xtensa LX6 with WiFi, BLE, ADC and PWM. Scan WiFi, serve HTTP, read DHT22 and BMP280, drive OLEDs and servos — the same code you flash to hardware.

What you get

  • Real compilation — the actual esp32:esp32 core, not a JavaScript interpreter
  • WiFi modeled — scan, connect and HTTP server examples with real network behavior
  • BLE advertising — the ESP32's Bluetooth stack is part of the simulation
  • Onboard and external LEDs — GPIO2 built-in, external wiring on the breadboard
  • 33 ESP32/C3/CAM examples — sensors, displays, WiFi, steppers and DOOM

Supported targets

ESP32 DevKit esp32:esp32:esp32
ESP32-CAM esp32:esp32:esp32cam
Xtensa LX6 dual-core 240 MHz
WiFi 2.4 GHz b/g/n
ADC 12-bit, 18 channels

FAQ

Does WiFi actually work in the simulator?

The WiFi stack is modeled: scan finds simulated networks, connect joins them, and the HTTP server answers real requests from the browser. The radio itself is emulated — the point is the firmware behavior, which matches hardware.

Can I flash the compiled sketch to a real ESP32?

The compilation output is the real thing — the same core, compiler and settings as the Arduino IDE. The simulator runs it in simulation; for hardware flashing, the same source compiles identically in the IDE.
