Raspberry Pi Simulator — Full Linux SBC Emulation, in the Browser
This is not a GPIO emulator — it is an emulated Raspberry Pi running Linux: boot the virtual Pi, upload Python scripts to its filesystem, and run them with gpiozero exactly like a physical board. Blink LEDs, run Knight-Rider chases, read PIR sensors and drive traffic lights on Pi 3, Pi 4 and Pi 5 models, all QEMU-emulated.
What you get
- Full-system QEMU emulation — the Pi boots Linux, not a scripted board model
- Real Python workflow — upload to /home/pi and run python3 script.py, like the real thing
- gpiozero library — the standard Pi GPIO library, with BCM pin numbering
- Three models — Pi 3 (A53), Pi 4 (A72), Pi 5 (A76 + RP1)
- 3.3 V discipline — the pitfalls pages cover the Pi's fragile GPIO rules

FAQ
Is it a real Raspberry Pi OS?
The emulated Pi runs a Linux userspace with Python and gpiozero — the workflow (boot, upload, run scripts, watch GPIO) matches a physical Pi. It is not a full Raspbian desktop image; it is the GPIO-programming experience, faithfully.
Python or Arduino code?
Python. A Raspberry Pi is a Linux computer, so the examples use gpiozero and run from the filesystem — the workflow difference from microcontrollers is the first lesson of the Pi.
