Free Raspberry Pi Pico Simulator — RP2040 in the Browser

The Raspberry Pi Pico simulator runs the RP2040 — dual-core Cortex-M0+ at 133 MHz — with real compilation for the rp2040 Arduino core. Blink, sensors, I2C, SPI, servos, OLED and even a DOOM raycaster: 21 Pico examples with the 3.3 V logic rules called out honestly on every page.

What you get

  • Real RP2040 compilation — rp2040:rp2040 core via arduino-cli
  • Dual-core Cortex-M0+ — 133 MHz, 264 KB RAM, modeled faithfully
  • 3.3 V logic discipline — the pitfalls pages drill the no-5V-tolerance rule
  • USB CDC serial — Serial is the virtual USB port, Serial1 is hardware UART0
  • Pico DOOM raycaster — a Wolfenstein-style 3D demo on the ILI9341

FAQ

Is the Pico better than an Arduino Uno?

Different jobs. The Pico is faster, cheaper, has more RAM and 3.3 V logic — but 5 V tolerance is zero and the ecosystem is younger. The simulator runs the same projects on both so the trade-offs are visible before you buy.

Does the simulator cover Pico W WiFi?

The Pico W examples (async LED, relay web server, servo web, websocket LED) are on the simulator canvas — the write-up pages for them are in the examples library as coming soon, and the simulator links open them directly.
